Nov. 20, 2008

Philip and Bo manage to keep Melanie from falling to her death, while Hope is forced to arrest Nick for murder. At the police station, Nick admits his guilt, but pleads extenuating circumstances drove him to it and asks Hope to get the charges dropped. Pained, Hope refuses to bend the rules. Her duty is to see justice served. Nick makes his phone call to Maggie, who promises him that Mickey is on his way. Bo tells Nick and Maggie that Nick's probably facing hard time. Melanie expects to be vindicated by the revelation that Nick is the killer. Instead, she still finds herself vilified by Philip, Chelsea and Stephanie, who blame her for Nick's deterioration. As Nick is led off to jail, Max consoles Melanie.

Brady and Nicole have a pleasant chat at the health club. Brady is grateful to discover that Nicole talked to John on his behalf. He says he admires Nicole's commitment to staying sober and offers her his number in case she ever needs support. Nicole throws it into her bag, sure she'll be fine. Meanwhile, Stefano oversteps his boundaries in regard to his future heir. He offers EJ a position as an attorney for DiMera shipping, which EJ somewhat hesitantly accepts. Nicole, Stefano and EJ have a "family" dinner. EJ and Nicole are feeling a little awkward with an extremely friendly Stefano, and EJ promises Nicole a surprise tomorrow.

At the Brady Pub, Abe is giving a press conference on a new "green" initiative to clean up the waterfront. Lexie continues to feel overwhelmed by her multiple responsibilities. Chelsea brings Lexie an issue of Redbook that inspires her to agree to serve on a committee where she feels she can make a real difference.;-)
